  1. Great little emergency tool Great compact emergency radio. Has AAA battery option (×3) or the built in Li-Ion power supply. Includes a micro usb cable too! Theres a switch for AAA or Li Ion fyi. I like how the radio antenna tucks away for better storage. The solar panel seems to charge thr li Ion battery however direct usb charging is faster. Sound quality is meh…ok. A bit tinny however its an emergency radio not a party machine. For what its meant for, im super happy with it. Crank works too but solar is easier…

  2. Good quality emergency radio I purchased the Running Snail radio for my emergency kit. While I have not experienced an emergency yet to use the radio for (knock on wood), I did fully inspect it out of the box. I live in the Seattle/Tacoma area and among others, I tried the 3 stations I would most use in an emergency: KIRO FM (CBS affiliate), loud and clear; KOMO AM (ABC affiliate) loud but some static, and KHB-60 (NOAA Weather Seattle), clear, not as loud as KIRO FM.
